Police say one person was killed and another was injured following an early morning shooting at McCabe?s Bar in DeLand. The person killed has been identified as 32-year-old Keshod Harris. Officials said the suspect in the shooting fled the scene and has not yet been located. Authorities believe about 30 to 40 other people were in the bar at the time. Police presence and resources have been increased in the area to ensure the safety of the community.

Crews across Florida and Central Florida are working to contain ongoing brush fires. A mandatory evacuation order was issued for residents in the Silver Springs area of Marion County on Friday due to a 150-acre active wildfire. Meanwhile, a 116-acre brush fire is burning in Osceola County in the Holopaw area. Three fires are also burning in Volusia County.
