Mount Dora's 'expensive build' to fix road from storm

After Lake County spent $300K to fix Donnelly Street after Hurricane Milton, the city will now reportedly spend more to re-do the street after it collapsed in an Oct. 26 storm. The Florida Department of Transportation is currently working on restoring damaged roads.

The city had 14 to 19 inches of rain within a short period of time, Megan Milanese, Director of Lake County’s Emergency Management, said. This “significant" flash flooding – particularly in Mount Dora and Eustis – contributed to vehicle damage, road closure and infrastructure impact.
