Volusia County's black leaders collected soil from a site downtown near where a tree once stood, a tree where Lee Bailey, a 29-year-old black man, was lynched in 1891.

One-by-one, school districts across Central Florida are debating masks in the classroom. The Volusia County School Board is holding an emergency meeting to discuss the issue and it has brought out a lot of people who are either showing show their support of a mask mandate or their frustrations.

Blue Spring State Park getting facelift with bank stabilization project

One of Central Florida's most popular state parks is getting a facelift. Blue Spring State Park is currently a construction zone after years of wear and tear. Some of the river banks have become unsafe and unstable, so the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is shoring up the shoreline.
