Accused trespasser shot, killed at DeLand home, deputies say
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A man was shot and killed outside a home in DeLand on Tuesday night after an argument over alleged trespassing ended in a shooting, according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office.

What we know:
Around 10:47 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies with the Volusia Sheriff's Office and the Deland Police Department responded to a trespassing complaint at a home on North Boulevard Court.
The person who called 911 told dispatchers that he had shot someone who was allegedly trespassing on his property.
According to VSO, the caller said the person he shot used to live at the home on and off, but was no longer allowed to live there. The caller found the person asleep in the laundry room on Tuesday night.
The two men then got into an argument, VSO said.
During that fight, the shooter told deputies the man "advanced" toward him despite repeated warnings to step back or he would be shot. He then fired multiple shots.
When deputies arrived, they found the alleged shooter standing on the road with his hands up, VSO said. The man who was shot was found dead in the driveway.

Officials have not identified the shooter or whether charges would be recommended. The name of the man found dead in the driveway has also not been released.
