As a mandatory evacuation is enforced at a retirement village in Kissimmee, deputies are closing roads as the water level continues to rise. Osceola County officials are warning residents along Shingle Creek, Reedy Creek and Boggy Creek to leave their homes as the water rises.

The National Guard spent the day in Kissimmee rescuing people of all ages in different neighborhoods. The Kissimmee City manager says, areas like North Kissimmee by Central and Columbia Avenue. And the west side of town, by Woodside, Osceola High and Shingle Creek were affected.

1 dead, over a dozen people injured including 14 Florida inmates in SR-60 crash in Osceola County

State Road 60 reopened late Wednesday afternoon after being closed for nearly 12 hours. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say a three-vehicle crash killed one person and injured 16 others.  Among those injured were prison inmates traveling in a bus.
