Daytona Beach police have arrested two teenagers on first-degree murder charges in the death of Eric Gordon, 18. 

Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri put on his Santa hat Friday afternoon as he and his officers helped carry bikes out to cars for families in need. 

Gabriel Vertiz, 39, is facing several charges including false imprisonment of a child under 13 with lewd and lascivious assault.

When deputies coaxed 47-year-old Jennifer Hall out of hiding in the woods behind her parents' Deltona home, she denied deputies’ assertions that she stole her father's oxycodone tablets and replaced them with Tylenol.

Gregory Greer, 52, Orange City, was arrested Wednesday night at home on a felony warrant by Orange City police, charged with possessing photos and videos depicting the sexual performance of a child.

Chief Thomas Grimaldi found himself on the other side of the law in late October when caught for speeding by his own officer, and he says he did what was right and paid up for it.

"I can assure everyone they are getting the greatest of care, they are being loved, and the vet told us that in her 20 plus years of being a veterinarian, this was the worst case of malnutrition and dehydration the vet had ever seen."

One witness stated to deputies that the teen had said in the past that he was going to bring his father's Glock handgun to school, kill other people, and kill himself.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says its Alert One helicopter pilot spotted 22-year-old Parker Keith, of St. Cloud, driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction on I-4 near Sanford around 3:21 a.m.   

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating its response to a case of two emaciated horses found on an Edgewater property. 

Authorities say in 2016, Irons kidnapped and then raped the victim repeatedly over several days.

James Griffin, 41, was taken into custody in Daytona Beach without incident and charged with obtaining property by fraud of more than $50,000 and grand theft of $100,000 or more.

A woman has been arrested, accused of asking bank customers to deposit a check for her and transfer money. Nearly half-a-dozen people were victims in a scheme of over $10,000.

Deputies seized two emaciated horses Wednesday morning from a home in Edgewater. They say charges are pending against the owners.
