2 charged with arson, fleeing police in Apopka

Two arrests have been made after a woman caught two people setting fire to items on her back porch on Monday night. Apopka police say both suspects are being charged with attempted homicide, arson, and fleeing and eluding.

Apopka man arrested in cold case, unsolved for 33 years

1 arrested after hours-long stand-off in Apopka

The Apopka Police Department said they responded to a reference of a domestic disturbance around 7 a.m. on Saturday in the area of the Breckenridge subdivision. After an hours-long stand-off, officials said they arrested 39-year-old Joseph Rivera. Authorities said Rivera is facing charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm, and further charges are currently under review.
