Winter weather across the nations affects flights at the Orlando International Airport

Winter weather across the country is affecting travel, including at the Orlando International Airport.

While many of the flights departing from the Orlando International Airport are on-time, there is still quite a bit of flights heading to the northeast that are canceled.

More than 1,500 flights were canceled around the country on Sunday afternoon because of a winter storm. The ripple effect can be felt in Orlando and could last for a few days, as airlines try to catch-up and reschedule people's flights.

Orlando International Airport wants to remind people to check their flight status before coming to the airport.

Temperatures in Orlando dipped into the 30s on Sunday night and Monday morning.
