Mom, daycare workers arrested after missing child found

Titusville Police have arrested two daycare employees and the mother of a 4-year-old boy who went missing Tuesday.

Police say DeShawn Harris was first reported missing at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday by his mother Tiffani Hernandez.

According to investigators, Hernandez told them she'd last seen her son playing with his siblings in the parking lot of the Budget Motel where they live.

However, police said the boy was actually left inside a daycare van for two hours.

Detectives arrested Wanda Curry and Ashley Anderson, both employees of Shining Stars Learning Center, and charged them with 3rd degree child neglect.

Police also arrested Tiffani Hernandez, the child's mother.

Investigators won't specify why they also arrested Hernandez but according to her arrest affidavit, she has a history of neglect.

The three women will make a first appearance before a Brevard County judge on Friday.
