Fore! Obama in Florida for weekend golf getaway

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (AP) - President Barack Obama is kicking off spring with a weekend golf getaway in Florida.

The president arrived Saturday after a morning flight on Air Force One. He's staying at the Floridian National Golf Club, a resort that's up the coast from Palm Beach.

In 2013, Obama caused a stir by playing the resort's 18 holes with Tiger Woods.

This time, the president isn't expected to hit the links with any celebrities in Palm City.

The White House says Obama will be out of public view and doesn't plan any official events - just long hours on the course soaking up the warmer Florida rays.

First lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters aren't joining Obama for the trip.

He plans to return to the White House late Sunday.
