Central Florida Jewish community steps up security after Pittsburg shooting

11 people were killed at a Pittsburg synagogue on Saturday, causing shockwaves around the nation, including here in Central Florida.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando has stepped up security at their Maitland offices. Police are stationed outside the doors throughout the dya and night.

The Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties are also considering locking their synagogue's doors as well as having armed security on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Recent details discovered that the suspect in the mass shooting told officers afterwards that Jews were committing genocide and he wanted them all to die.
