Heavy downpours and lightning expected in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Moisture and energy from the Gulf of Mexico will bring a one to two inch punch to the area today, as rain chances are possible in both the a.m. and p.m. hours, but especially in the afternoon.
Rain chances really ramp up by 12 p.m. and beyond. Heavy downpours and lots of lightning is likely.
Highs will hit near 87 today, with a general theme of increasing clouds. Tonight, lows will drop near 74, with a few scattered evening showers and storms possible before 11 p.m.
