An arrest has been made in an attempted abduction of a minor in Eustis, police said. Investigators identified the suspect as Gregory Dewayne Lockwood, who was taken into custody after the victim was able to identify him, authorities said. Police had been searching for the driver of a white SUV following the incident.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly provides an update on the investigation into an 11-year-old boy who was reported missing and then possibly kidnapped by a 15-year-old boy and a 60-year-old registered sex offender, Darnell Hairston. The 11-year-old told deputies that he was lured to a campsite, had duct tape placed over his mouth, and was tied with shoelaces and an extension cord for days. When deputies separated the boys from Hairston, the 15-year-old jumped in the truck and drove off, leading deputies on a short pursuit. The 15-year-old ultimately drove off the road and crashed, flipping the truck. He was not seriously hurt and is facing charges.
