Woman arrested after giving meth to 12-year-old

Marion County Sheriff's arrested a woman Tuesday morning after she was caught giving a baggie of methamphetamine to a 12-year-old.

During a routine traffic stop, deputies learned Patricia Curtain, 44, was driving with a suspended license and had a warrant out for her arrest.

While an officer was gathering information, he heard Curtain instruct the child to put her wallet in the their book bag and take it to school.

Officers said that was a, "red flag", and asked to search the child's bag. That's when they said they found a baggie of meth inside the wallet.

Curtain was taken into custody and is now being charged with drug possession, driving while license suspended, distributing schedule II hallucinogen to someone under 18-years-old and child abuse.
