Student charged after falsely reporting a school threat
DELTONA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Another student is in trouble with the law for making a school threat in Volusia County.
Deputies say the 14-year-old is from Deltona Middle School. They say he sent a text message about an active shooter and then sent out a video of running feet to make the story seem real. The student later told a deputy that it was a prank, but now he is facing charged.
Deputies say more than 30 students have been charged with threats in Volusia County since the Parkland shooting.
