Skimming devices found at Sanford gas station
SANFORD, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Police were notified of four skimming devices at a Sanford gas station.
The Sanford Police Department says that early on Wednesday morning, police were notified by the 7-Eleven on North French Avenue that multiple skimming devices were found on their gas pumps. Four skimming devices were found during the monthly gas pump inspection by Field Mvi Services. They were found inside the pump and not detectable to customers or employees.
Police are recommending that you check your account statements regularly to verify charges. Though skimming devices are hard to detect, also check the pumps and ensure security tampering tape (usually red) is still in place.You can always pay inside if in doubt.
