Robbery, shooting at Titusville restaurant

Titusville Police need your help in finding the person who shot a worker at a Chinese restaurant.

It was right around closing time, when Titusville police say this man with his face covered, walked into China 1 and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. But it didn't stop there.

Titusville Police spokesperson Amy Matthews says, "As he was leaving the restaurant he turned around and  shot the counter attendant."

Shot the worker who police say did everything the robber wanted.

"Just shows that the suspect has a blatant disregard for human life and he's very dangerous. We want to get him off the street and in custody as soon as possible."

Customers showed up to find the restaurant closed and locked up.

Lindsey Mansfield says, "They're very friendly here. Very friendly. I think it's pretty scary. Honestly, I hope they catch the guy."

"China 1 is a very popular restaurant and our heart goes out to the victim and his family," adds Matthews.

Investigators hope surveillance helps identify the shooter.

"He's wearing a very distinctive face covering, it's a handkerchief with a skull and skeleton on the outside of it. Also a dark hoodie. We want to get this guy off the street."

Police say the yet-to-be-identified worker remains in serious condition.  Anyone with information on the shooting should call the Titusville Police Department or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
