Residents in parts of Orange and Polk counties are cleaning up after heavy storms moved across Central Florida for a second day in a row on Tuesday.

Power poles were knocked over in the Dr. Phillips neighborhood, along Turkey Lake Road, leaving close to a thousand residents without electricity.  Duke Energy crews were working to restore that power.  A few billboards were also damaged, when the storm passed through the area around 2 p.m.

Strong winds also caused damage in the Four Corners, area along the Polk-Osceola county line, knocking over an recreational vehicle at the Lake Magic RV Resort in Clermont.

"The trailer was rocking, and it just went over," said storm victim Samantha Williamson.

Williamson said six people, including her children and husband, were in the RV when it tumbled over, causing some cuts and bruises to the children.

"It was still shaking. We were rolled over, kind of like you were in a dream really. My husband got banged up on the head and some scratches, a lot of blood."

Right outside Lake Magic RV Resort, workers said the wind damaged a dividing wall in the back of a store.

"All our trees fell down and it was crazy scary," said Sergio Reyes, as he described the downpour that preceded the wind damage.

"Very impressive downburst winds were blowing through in the afternoon, also dropping pea-size hail," said FOX 35 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Richards. "Winds at the surface were well over 50 miles per hour."

Richards said drier air is moving into the region, which will decrease rain chances over the next few days.
