Police warning about online purchases

SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Sanford police say you need to be very careful arranging to meet people via the internet or mobile apps when buying or selling things. There have been six robberies during these kinds of transactions in the city this year, five of them since June.

The police department worries more people will make these kinds of deals now that the holidays are here and that more people will become victims.
