Police end standoff with man barricaded in Apopka hotel

APOPKA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Officers with the Apopka Police Department say a standoff with a man who had barricaded himself inside a room at the Regency Inn, at 228 W Main St., has ended. 

Raul Rivas, 37, surrendered peacefully to the SWAT Team at 2:40 p.m. and was transported to the Orange County Jail.  Rivas has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
