Osceola County School District to vote on allowing cannabis on campus

The Osceola County School District is looking to make a decision when it comes to cannabis on campus.

They are discussing the idea of allowing medical marijuana on campus. The school board will vote on it on Tuesday.

If approved, students would have to prove that they are registered to use medical pot and give 48 hours notice to their principal. A parent will then have to bring the medication and be there to give it to the student in a designated area.

District leaders say that no school staff will be allowed to touch the marijuana nor will it be stored on campus.
