Court documents released Monday reveal new details about the moments just before two Kissimmee police officers were shot and killed Friday night.

According to an arrest affidavits, accused killer Everett Glenn Miller, 45, shot Officer Matthew Baxter and Sergeant Sam Howard in the head and later begged another Kissimmee police officer to kill him.

Records show around 9:28 p.m. on Friday Baxter notified dispatch that he was “out with three black males” in the intersection of Palmway Street and Cypress Street.

A few moments later, he requested supervisor.  Around 9:48 Howard arrived.  There was no communication from Baxter or Howard after that.

Around 9:52 dispatch began receiving calls about shots fired in the area and moments later callers reporter there were two officers lying in the middle of Palmway Street.

According to the affidavit, several officers responded and found Baxter and Howard unresponsive with gunshot wounds to their heads.

A short time later Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Miller.

The court documents reveal that cell phone video taken by one of two men who admitted to being at the scene that night shows a suspect confronting Baxter, requesting to speak with a sergeant and saying there was no reason for police to stop him.

According to the arrest affidavit, the owner of Roscoe’s Bar called police at 10:23p.m. about a customer acting suspicious.

Deputies responded, made contact with Miller, and used the cell phone video to tie him to the scene.

Police say during the course of his arrest Miller told them, “I’m innocent, I didn’t do it, I’m a veteran.”

Officers say they found two guns on Miller—a 9 mm Sig Sauer and a .22 Derringer.

Once at the police station, Investigator Charles Hess says Miller “began to cry, said he did not want to live and plead with me to kill him.”

Hess said he ensured Miller no one at the police station would kill him and asked why he would make such a request.

According to the affidavit, Miller said “I have done a bad thing.”

Miller is charged with the premeditated murder of Officer Baxter, resisting arrest, and carry a concealed firearm in a bar.

Authorities say charges for the murder of Sgt. Howard are pending.
