Miami Beach "Zika zone" grows with more cases

The Zika transmission area grew in Miami Beach again. In the last month, 93 people have contracted the virus. Five of those cases were in the Miami beach "Zika zone." Some of the people infected do not live in Florida, but did contract the Zika while visiting the state.

The newly-expanded "Zika zone will be immediately swept for standing water and a larvicide spray will happen the following weekend.

Meanwhile, Florida Governor Rick Scott met with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to express the urgent need for funding to fight the virus. So far congress has still not approved funding requests.
