MESA, Ariz. -- It's been a week since the driver of a flatbed truck was killed in a hit and run crash on US 60 and his wife has gone without answers as to who did it.
Bianca Maya spent Thanksgiving with friends and family, but there was one important person missing: her husband, Joshua Garcia. He was a Marine and planning to join the Phoenix Police Department, but on November 16, Garcia's truck hit an abandoned car on the side of US 60 near Higley. He was thrown onto the highway, then struck by a passing SUV that kept going.
Maya is pleading for the driver to come forward.
"Don't be scared to tell the truth, that you did it, that you feel sorry that you did it, because the person with that kind of heart that drove off and still hasn't turned themself in, it seems like they don't have a heart to me. If you would have stopped, that would mean you have some sense of humanity.. in him or he or she or whoever hit him," she said.
Police believe the SUV that hit Garcia was a black or dark blue Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon from the early to mid-2000s.
