Manager stabbed after refusing to open safe for robbers

UPDATE: Two people, named Alfredo Rivas and Guy Hughes, have been arrested for the stabbing of the victim.

The Sanford Police Department has reported an attempted robbery and stabbing at Wolfy's Bar and Grill.

Two suspects reportedly came in and approached the manager. They went back to the safe and told him to open it.

Police say the manager refused, which caused one suspect to stab him multiple times.

The manager told police that he believes the other suspect had a fake gun.

Both suspects fled and it is unknown if they took anything.

Police are searching for the subjects.

The manager stabbed was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital for surgery. The severity of his status is unknown.
