BALTIMORE (AP) - Police say a man accused of killing his girlfriend in Jacksonville, Florida, and fleeing with their 4-year-old son was found dead in a wooded area of Baltimore.
The department said in a news release that a body found Wednesday in west Baltimore was that of 26-year-old Norris Dail Sr.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office obtained a first-degree murder warrant for Dail after his girlfriend, 26-year-old Cynthia Aviles, was found dead on Sept. 28.
WBAL-TV reports that the couple's son, Norris Dail Jr. was found safe with relatives in Maryland on Sept. 29.
Baltimore police say the elder Dail suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
