Lockheed Martin opening up Orlando innovation center

Lockheed Martin is giving its employees some state-of-the-art tools.

The engineering firm is opening up an innovation center in Orlando. The purpose of the center is to give employees a space to create and cultivate their own ideas and projects into reality.

Chad Harper, the Technology Strategy Innovation Manager, says that "there is no structure here. That is the part we removed. If you're not failing, you're not innovating."

The company's first innovation center opened in Dallas. In less than a year, the center created new patents and multi-million dollar contracts.
