DeBary mayor removed from office
DEBARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - In a unanimous vote, the DeBary City Council decided to remove Mayor Clint Johnson from office.
The council decided he violated eight counts of the city charter.
City council members heard 5 1/2 hours of testimony from Johnson and members of the public Wednesday night before making their decision.
Vice Mayor Lita Handy-Peters is now acting mayor of DeBary.
Clint Johnson tells FOX 35 News he will run for again for mayor.
