Bird caught on camera hitching a ride on hawk
A red-winged blackbird was caught in a photo hitching a ride on a red-tailed hawk that Mike White spotted Tuesday.
White says he was visiting DeSoto and Boyer ChuteNational #WildlifeRefuge in #Nebraskaand #Iowa.
Experts say territorial blackbirds (among others) can be seen dive-bombing raptors, but this is definitely something you don't see every day.
The U.S. Department of the Interior shared the photo taken by White on their Instagram page.
