Orlando Weather: Strong thunderstorms, slight tornado threat overnight
ORLANDO, Fla. - A frontal boundary is moving over the region, bringing rain and thunderstorms through the rest of the overnight tonight.
With a torrential rain that some areas saw today, localized flooding will be concerned through overnight tonight. Orlando is in a level one out of five chance for severe weather so a few of the thunderstorms could be on the stronger side as well as there could be a possibility of a severe thunderstorm or a brief tornado.

Storms will continue through the rest of the overnight tonight. Areas across Gainesville and Ocala to Dayton Beach will see the worst of the rain this evening.
Areas in Orlando along I-4, we’ll see storms through the evening, but rain and storms will continue through the rest of the overnight tonight, leading to the possibility of some flooding.
Brevard County, especially in areas across southern Brevard County, will continue to see a possible risk of severe weather until the early morning hours of Monday.

Heavy rain is going to continue to push over Central Florida as we head through the overnight tonight. So areas that already saw rain earlier today could be seeing higher totals.
As heavy rain pushes through, some areas could see over 4 inches of rain, depending on if they get caught in a heavier downpour or a thunderstorm.
Tornado threat: When and where?
Along the leading edge of the front, there is enough wind energy that could result in a very brief tornado. This is over Orlando through the rest of the evening into the overnight hours.
This moves into Brevard County as we head into the early morning hours of Monday.
Monday Forecast: When does the rain end?
The FOX 35 Storm Team has issued an alert for the rest of the overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. This will impact the early morning commute and make road slick as traffic really picks up tomorrow. Showers and storm should to taper off by 9–10 AM.
