The FOX 35 Storm Team is tracking strong thunderstorms moving through parts of Central Florida.

There is a threat for severe thunderstorms northeast of Orlando on Friday afternoon and evening. A few storm could become severe with hail and gusty winds. FOX 35's Noah Bergren has the latest.

Florida is experiencing unseasonably warm weather with temperatures a few degrees below 100 expected Thursday.  “It's going to be really toasty tomorrow, but not super humid,” FOX 35's Noah Bergren predicted on May 6.  As a heat dome moves across the gulf, Orlando will experience the hottest temperatures. 

Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-90s on Thursday, with some areas of Central Florida potentially experiencing record highs. FOX 35 Storm Team meteorologist Brooks Garner is tracking the heat.

Central Florida faces a major warmup this week, with highs launching toward summertime levels in what will be a mainly rain-free week. A few showers can't be ruled out tomorrow, but there's a better chance this weekend with sea breeze storms. Suddenly it feels like summer in Florida!
