Severe weather threats remain minimal in the overnight hours but Saturday could present an opportunity for storms over North Central Florida.

After a quiet start to our Friday morning, a complex of storms moves into areas north of Orlando later this morning and midday, bringing a few showers and storms to the region.

After a mostly quiet Thursday, storms will be moving across Florida on Friday morning. Most of the inclement weather will remain over North Central Florida by late morning. Midday showers are also possible in Orlando and areas north of the city.

Temperatures will heat up in a big way this afternoon, with high temperatures climbing into low and mid 90s for inland areas and upper 80s to near 90-degrees for the beaches. Be sure to wear the sunscreen too, as partly to mostly sunny skies can be expected.

Rain chances diminish for Thursday but that will pick back up by the weekend. It will remain hot, with temperatures reaching into the 90s.
