Two small planes made emergency landings on Central Florida roadways Monday in separate incidents that halted traffic, damaged vehicles, and sent multiple people to the hospital. One plane landed on a roadway near DeLand High School around 2 p.m. in Volusia County. Hours later, another plane landed shortly before 6 p.m. on Interstate 95 in Brevard County.

A man on a scooter was hit by multiple vehicles on Saturday morning on Old Canoe Creek Road, according to the St. Cloud Police Department. None of the people who hit him stopped, authorities said.
