UF president announces task force to rework future graduation ceremonies
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The University of Florida (UF) is making some changes following an incident where several students were aggressively pushed and grabbed as they walked across the stage during a graduation ceremony.
In a video posted on the school's website, UF President Kent Fuchs announced a task force that will focus on reworking all graduation ceremonies. The task force will ask for student input about future graduations. He also said that he has personally reached out to the 22 students that were affected most.
The pushy usher is now on paid administrative leave.
