State Christmas tree lit up at the Florida Capitol

The Christmas tree is all lit up at the Florida Capitol.

The Florida-grown red cedar is one of about 16,000 trees that will be harvested and sold by tree farms across the state this year.

Governor Rick Scott was there to unveil the tree, along with Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.

"We count our blessings and we come together as one Florida family and join together as a stronger, better state because of our togetherness," Putnam said.

The Christmas tree will be on display through the end of December.
