Police: 'Malibu Rapist' facing new charges in 15 sexual battery cold cases

George Girtman, dubbed the ‘Malibu Rapist,’ is serving a life sentence in prison after being convicted of sexual batteries in the Malibu neighborhood in Orlando.

He is now facing more charges after new technology tied him to over a dozen more cold cases from decades ago.

On Tuesday, the Orlando Police Department announced that Girtman is facing charges in 15 more sexual battery cold cases. Detectives have tied him to 26 cold cases but charges are being filed in 15 of those. Ten of them are sexual batteries and the other five are attempted attacks. 11 of the victims in these cases have passed away.

They also said that the crimes occurred between 1985 and 1991. The victims of Girtman were said to be between ages six-years-old to over 40-years-old. He was reportedly a stranger to them, choosing his victims at random and breaking into their homes. Police added that all of the attacks were at knifepoint and occurred in the middle of the night.
