New solar farm coming to Walt Disney World

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A major new solar farm will be coming to Walt Disney World.

The project will cover 270-acres, holding 50-megawatts of solar energy.

Disney officials say it will bring enough renewable, clean energy to power two of the four Central Florida theme parks.

The solar facility will be near Disney's Animal Kingdom.
