City of Longwood appoints new City Manager

The City of Longwood has announced that their City Commission has voted unanimously at a special meeting held on March 28th, 2018, to appoint J.D. Cox as City Manager.

Cox will replace Jon Williams, who left in January.

Cox says that he is "very excited to join the city and community. Everyone has been so very nice. Longwood has a lot going for it, and I look forward to contributing every wya I can to its success."

Cox was a former city manager for Bethany, Oklahoma for 13 years. 

A contract has been approved by the City Commission and Cox will reportedly begin his new role on April 30th.
