Ceremonies scheduled for fallen officers

Today Orange County will honor two law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty last year.
Their families, fellow officers and local leaders will unveil two roadway signs this morning.

The first ceremony will honor Orange County Deputy Jonathan Pine.
    It starts at 8:00am.
Deputy Pine was killed February 11th, 2014, while trying to stop a suspected car thief.
It happened near the intersection of South Apopka Vineland Road and Westminster Abby Boulevard.
Today's ceremony is happening at the intersection of Conroy Windermere Road and Apopka Vineland Road.

Windermere Officer Robert German was killed in that same area, just weeks later.
It happened March 22nd, 2014, near Conroy Windermere Road.
Investigators say the 31-year-old was shot by two teens, who later committed suicide.
The ceremony for Officer German starts at 9:00am, on Horizon Circle, just south of Conroy Windermere Road.
