Black Friday arrives early on Thanksgiving

Shoppers lined up for some hot deals in Central Florida on Thanksgiving.

In Sanford, a line of people wrapped around Best Buy.

“Personally, I’ve been doing this since I was like a kid with my dad back when it was actually on Friday,” said Kyle Heinzelman, who was at the front of the line.

The doors opened at 5 p.m.

Managers let small groups of people in at a time so there wasn’t a major rush in the store.

A lot of people told us they were looking to score a big discount on TV's.

According to the National Retail Federation, more than 164 million people will shop over the five-day holiday weekend.

The group says around 34 million are shopping on Thanksgiving.

One Target shopper told us, “That’s when the best deals are, of course!”

For some, it’s a family affair.

“We had turkey and rice and everything, but now we’re ready to buy,” Tonya Diaz said.

And for a lot of people, it’s just the beginning.

Many shoppers tell the News Station they’ll be out on Black Friday to shop some more.
