The Brevard County Sheriff's Office has launched a criminal investigation into a local fence contractor following reports of unfinished projects and unreturned deposits across Florida’s Space Coast.

An off-duty police officer in Lake County helped rescue multiple people after a boat crash on Lake Dora, authorities said. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said a 39-foot center console vessel collided with a pontoon boat Saturday night on Lake Dora. Seven people were involved in the crash, and five were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. All have since been released.

"I'm crying and laughing," the student said in the video. "I'm happy." The video was posted and has reached millions.

A 74-year-old man who was hit by a car while running in the Florida Half Marathon on Feb. 8 has died, officials said. Friends and fellow runners remembered AJ Swann as an avid runner, golfer, and a business man.  According to The Florida Marathon, AJ had completed 9 marathons, 30 half-marathons, and "scored" of 5K and 10K races during his running career. "AJ was a great guy; he always had a smile on his face," said fellow runner, Orrie McCrea. "He was a great encourager, very inquisitive, thoughtful." McCrea and Swann were in the same running club, Golden Isles Track Club, in Georgia, where Swann lived.

The Artemis II launch date is up in the air, while the rocket, spacecraft, and crew remain on the ground awaiting repairs after detecting a helium flow issue. The entire rocket is being rolled back to the Vehicle Assembly Building, a slow process that will take 12 hours, spanning 4 miles.

Dennard Barnes was arrested in Cocoa on a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling and attempted murder. He's accused of shooting a 24-year-old in the abdomen. Records show that Barnes is also suspected of two other shootings in South Florida. 

The parents of 5-year-old Cade, who was hit by two teenagers riding an e-bike at the beach, want some changes to how e-bikes are regulated, including registration and licenses. Cade's leg was scrapped, but the doctor told his parents that he's lucky it wasn't shattered. The Volusia Sheriff's Office is looking to identify the two teenagers for possible hit-and-run charges.

Three suspects were arrested in Winter Springs after meeting someone to buy a PlayStation 5, but instead of buying it, they allegedly prepper-sprayed the guy and ran off with the game console, police said. The guy ran after them, trying to get in console back, but was dragged for several hundred feet, officials said. All three were caught and arrested. Two of the suspects are suspects in a similar case in Ocoee, where a man was robbed of his laptop after meeting them to sell it, police said.
