A judicial ethics case was opened into the alleged actions of Orange County circuit court judge John E. Jordan III who is accused of violating the judicial canons by telling attorney's to "shut up" and making racially insensitive comments toward a defendant's uncle. 

Tenants at The Rialto apartments filed a class action lawsuit – accusing the apartment owners of breach of contract – after 200 units were evacuated due to "structural concerns."  Now, the tenants of the Doctor Phillips complex, located in Orange County, demand damages in excess of $50,000 per resident due to moving and relocation costs – as well as the loss of use and the enjoyment of the dwelling units, the lawsuit said. 

The city of Orlando has implemented a "no-feeding" policy for the swans at Lake Eola. The public is no longer allowed to feed the birds and all coin-operated, public bird feeders have been removed. The change comes after dozens of swans died from an avian flu outbreak.

Tenants of The Rialto in Orange County, Florida are suing the apartment owners after they were evacuated due to structural concerns. $1,000 checks were given to tenants as a relocation fee, but the residents claim these checks bounced. 

The Stonebridge Place association has seen four different management companies in just nine months. Ending those contracts early has already cost the HOA $18,000 in termination fees during those nine months. Now, homeowners want to know: where are HOA dues going? 

Frederick Leonzo Callaway and James Robinson, charged with felony murder, armed burglary, armed robbery, and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, were denied bond on March 25 after two window installment workers were hospitalized from shooting injuries. The shooting was reported on Tuesday around 3:50 p.m. at a home near Overlook Road and Sylvan Boulevard. Police found two men who had been shot and taken to the hospital.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) said a new scam involving counterfeit court notices is making the rounds. Counterfeit notices – designed to look like records from a state or county court – are demanding people pay fines ("judgments") against them for various parking or toll violations.  Holly Salmons, President/CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Central Florida, stopped by Good Day Orlando to talk about the latest scams targeting Florida residents.

Police said the shooting was reported around 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday near Overlook Road and Sylvan Boulevard. Two adult men were found with gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital, police said. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known. "Preliminary investigation appears to indicate the victims were shot after they confronted two suspects involved in the burglary and theft of tools," Winter Park Police said around 7 p.m. 

Residents of The Rialto in Doctor Phillips were heard on a 911 call pleading for help after they reported being stuck in their apartment on March 19. County officials reported the building was found to have structural concerns, show pictures of cracks on walls. 

Two people are hospitalized after being shot in Winter Park. Two suspects led officers on a chase from Winter Park to a shopping center in Lake Mary. A witness described the chase, saying the suspect tried to escape at a stop sign, but there was no way out. 

 Two window installation employees were shot in Winter Park on March 24. The suspects led police on a chase to a Lake Mary shopping center. Two people were taken into custody, police said.
