Man arrested on DUI charge

A Palm Coast man was arrested early Sunday after crashing his car off I-95 and admitting to deputies he had been drinking heavily. Michael Gonzalez, 30, failed field sobriety tests and later registered a blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit. He was charged with DUI and taken to the county jail.

The city?s speeding camera program has faced ongoing issues since 2024, prompting a suspension by Palm Bay police. FOX 35 measured camera placements at multiple schools, identifying violations at 10 locations, while a few schools had cameras correctly installed according to state guidelines. Following the findings, the city ordered RedSpeed, the camera contractor, to investigate the improper installations.
