NC man extradited to Volusia County in alleged scam

A North Carolina man accused of running a romance scam that cost a Volusia County woman $60,000 has been extradited to Florida to face charges of fraud and grand theft, authorities said. Corey Woodall faces two counts of organized scheme to defraud and grand theft. Sheriff Mike Chitwood said the case is among the first in which a victim confronted her alleged scammer directly.
