TSA workers on the job without pay during government shutdown

Friday marked the first day hundreds of thousands of TSA workers missed getting their paychecks due to the government shutdown.

The shutdown hitting the three-week mark, causing airports across the country, including Orlando International Airport, to have a shortage of workers.

Union officials say workers are calling in sick and some are being sidelined, meaning passenger and plane safety could be at risk.

Some FAA flight inspectors and air traffic controllers are considered non-essential personnel during the shutdown.
