PALM COAST, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Detectives with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said they have confirmed that a bomb threat made on Wednesday at Bunnell Elementary School was a hoax that has been traced to a student email accounts at Flagler Palm Coast High School.
Now, criminal charges are possible as the investigation continues.
In a related case to the bomb threat, detectives are investigating a plot at the high school and have interviewed the suspects and have been in contact with their parents.
"Our schools remain safe and we urge everyone to take part in keeping them safe by immediately reporting all suspicious activity to 911," said Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre.
Detectives are uncertain at this time if the plot was real or part of a role playing game.
