Boy receives new bike from Volusia County deputies

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A young boy gets a brand new bike, thanks to some generous deputies in Volusia County.

Korion met Sheriff Mike Chitwood at the Boys and Girls Club during an ice cream social. He told the Sheriff that someone stole his bike. While talking to Korion, they learned he likes science and attended the Advanced Science Program at his school over the summer.

"After a little Intel gathering from Korion's mom," The Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook. "We were able to get a bike for him this week with a blue helmet to match."

He was very thankful for the gift, and deputies say he even went inside to grab cold waters for them.
