Baby possums saved from mother's pouch

WINTER SPRINGS. Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Several pint-sized baby possums were saved after a man in Winter Springs noticed them inside the pouch of their dead mother on the side of the road.

The man, named Jecoa Sowila, started pulling the babies out of the dead mother's pouch.

Sowila said that his mother had rescued possums several times while he was a kid, so he knew to stop and look. After seeing movement, he decided to rescue them.

The baby possums are now being cared for at the Back to Nature Wildlife Rescue.
