Orlando weather: Unseasonably warm temps, widespread fog expected across Central Florida

Fog Advisory for Central Florida

What To Expect:

This is the "fog season" for Florida, but this is more than typical. Water in the Atlantic and Gulf has cooled dramatically from the January cold snap. Putting 80-plus degree air over really cool ocean water creates significant fog that will push inland from both coasts of Florida every morning this week.

TONIGHT:

Partly cloudy with areas of dense fog developing later tonight -- 1st at the beaches then spreading inland towards Orlando by morning.

The fog is most dense on the coastlines of Florida (I-75 and I-95 corridors).

LOOKING AHEAD:

Nightly and daily fog in the morning each day this week, thanks to the humid air blowing over the cool Gulf and Atlantic waters off the coast of FL on either side.

Super warm air for the next week and a half!

Will be one of the warmest starts to February on record in Orlando. 80-85 degree highs through the middle of next week at least.

82 becomes the average high on April 5th, so this warmth is 2+ months ahead of average to have like this on a daily basis.

Small chance for a pop-up shower next Monday and Tuesday night, but it's a very low chance.
