JetBlue to increase departures from Orlando International Airport

JetBlue is set to become the first major occupant at Orlando International Airport's (OIA) new terminal.

Orlando's Airport Authority says that JetBlue is expected to grow from 63 to 100 flights a day.

Construction of the new South terminal has been ongoing for a year now. It is expected to open in 2021.

The airport wants travelers to help pay for the expansion. The Airport Authority is voting to keep a $4.50 charge per ticket. The charge will help pay for that South Terminal expansion, which will add those three gates to the airport.

The south terminal expansion will cost about $670 million.
