Guardrail impales SUV, injures passenger

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - The CHP is investigating a serious collision in the North Bay involving an SUV and a highway guardrail.
The guardrail went through the SUV and hit the passenger in the front seat.
According to authorities, the passenger suffered major injuries.
The CHP says the crash happened Thursday on Highway 37 in Solano County after the vehicle drove onto the right shoulder.
